About Us

Sri Shankara Bala Vihar CT (SSBVCT)  is an initiative in the state of Connecticut that aims to spread the teachings and practices of the Hindu religion.  By the grace of His Holiness, Sri Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, more affectionately known as "Bala Periyava", Smt. Gayathri Venugopalan and Sri. Shankar Kalyanasundaram began this project. SSBVCT promotes Hindu religion and Indian culture through various activities, chanting and other events.  We teach Slokas and Stotras for free, for kids as well as adults. 

 We also teach multiple slokas and stotras virtually.  These can be attended from anywhere and there is absolutely no restrictions on who can join.  We encourage all to join and experience a simple way to connect with the divine.
