Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam is a text containing the thousand names of Goddess Lalithambal within the Bramhanda Puranam. Sri Lalitha Sahasranamam is set as a conversation between the God of Knowledge, Lord Hayagriva and Agasthya Maharishi or Saint. Agasthya, after many many many years of deep penance, was greeted by Lord Hayagriva. Agasthya requested the thousand names of Goddess Lalithambal and received them from Lord Hayagriva.
