Viveka Chudamani

Vivekachudamani

The Vivekachudamani is an introductory treatise within the Advaita Vedanta tradition of Hinduism, written by Adhi Shankaracharya. The name derives from the two Sanskrit words, viveka and chudamani meaning "the discrimination between the permanent and transient," and "crown jewel," respectively. Together, Vikevachudamani means "the crown jewel in the art of discriminating between that which is permanent and transient".
